i just discovered an etsy shop that i am absolutely in love with. look at those gorgeous prints! and it has one of the best shop names i've ever heard: wolfie and the sneak.

i finally downloaded these pictures of may and i selling at the nyack street fair earlier this month.... our stuff looks even better together than i remembered!

got a lot of comments. my favorite was the old man who said
"tea towels? we don' drink tea in brooklyn! we drink coffee. and beer." heh.

i just got screens burned with larger versions of my designs, so the fox placemats are in production...

oink oink. wile and i visited may in her studio, and he got to bring home
this adorable little porker.

i made this pretty bath mat out of stephen's old towel and part of an old bedspread, and posted about the process on the newnew's blog.

a few days later, it was picked up by whip up and craftzine!

so something good finally came out of that ratty old towel....

this saturday, september 13th, i'm going up to beacon, ny, to throw a one-day craft fair with a bunch of other crafty ladies from my etsy team, the {newnew}. it's called the handmade cavalcade, and it will be a great collection hip handmade goodies, from jewlery to journals, from soap to ceramics, from knitting to napkins.

we will set up shop at the corner of main street and north cedar, just a short walk up from beacon's metro-north station.

if you're in the city, beacon is a great town for a day trip—not only is it in the beautiful hudson valley, but it's got a ton of galleries and cute shops, and is home to the very impressive dia:beacon museum.

though i love my old iron, which has been with me for almost two decades, i have been searching for a non-steam iron, which was proving really hard to find. apparently it's all about steam these days. but not back when this beauty was made:








i found it at the salvation army when i was doing a supply run the other day, and i am smitten.

we're back from our yearly pilgrimage to the maine summer...

and now it's back to work.

i bought this black tea soap from kopah at the brooklyn flea back in june.





isn't it pretty? it also smells like heaven—spicy and warm, just like good black tea—and doesn't make my skin dry. and it's made with all natural ingredients, nothing scary. so of course, i had to stock up.





i love the recycled-magazine packaging, too. thank you, candice!

my stomach is all cramped up, i can barely see through the tears in my eyes, and i drooled a little on my keyboard.

and it's all the fault of cakewrecks.
