sarah and i bought barbara from a homeless man in the
2nd ave subway stop, on her birthday, 10 years ago.
her original bag—purple vinyl—was lost in a basement flood.
this new one is even better.

i'm sure everyone has seen this already, but it is my favorite thing right now...

i have a new job: assistant coach of the t-ball yankees of the inner city little league.
thirteen 5-year-olds in high socks and jock straps. at least half of them have no idea where second base is. hands down the best part of my week.
