one of my absolute favorite labels, the vintage-inspired jovovich-hawk, is the latest high fashion design team to do a line for target. it hits stores this sunday, and will only be available till april 12th. it will also be on target.com if you don't have a target near you, which just seems kinda inconceivable....
here's a few looks, and you can see the whole line on the target site.
gotta go find out what time target opens on sunday....

tell it!
#32 on domino magazine's list of 100 things you can do to make your home more green. you can see the whole list here. the little funny lightbulb symbol up there next to #32 means that it's a money saver as well as a planet saver. and, you know, cloth napkins made out of recycled fabric is even more eco-tastic....hmm, i wonder where someone could score some of those......

i heart
a couple of days ago i was doing an interview for a local paper* and was asked who my favorite designers were, and as i answered (in an email a day later, because of course i'm terrible on the spot and can barely remember my name off the top of my head), i thought "hmm, this would make a good blog post..."
and so, in no particular order, here are some of my most favorite people who make (or made) beautiful things:
*josef frank [swedish, early 20th century, designed textiles and a lot more but all i really care about are the textiles...]
* william morris [the most famous designer of the arts and crafts movement, designed gorgeous wallpaper]
* marimekko [iconic finnish textile and clothing design company]
*dries van noten [dutch fashion designer who throws together prints in brilliantly crazy ways]
*jill bliss - [designer/artist from california]
*p.s. the interview will be in the may issue, i'll be sure to post....
